Turning  Out The Lights

If you are the last to leave at night, please turn off our lights at the front door.

 

Security System Operation

The front door is unlocked for free entry and exit between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  Monday - Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday

 

After Hours Entry or Exit

During periods when the doors are scheduled to be locked, the following procedures must be performed for entry and exit:

 

At 5:30 p.m. (5 p.m. Friday) use your key fob to enter the building and be sure and lock it on the inside.  To exit – the motion sensor will automatically release the magnetic lock.

 

The door must be closed within 20 seconds after opening or the alarm will sound.

 

In the event someone is entering the building directly behind you, it is advisable to use your key fob again to initiate the 20 second timer to allow for an additional 20 seconds.

 

Alarm Sounding

Should the local alarm sound, it will reset in approximately 5 minutes.
Please call Sonitrol Security System and give your name and Fob Key #.  747-0916.

  • When do the front and back  doors arm automatically?
    Between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., Monday thru Thursday, 5:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 a.m. Monday (weekends), and holidays .
     

  • How much time do I have to get in or out the front door without the alarm going off?
    20 seconds.  Contact a staff member if you are moving furniture and need more time.
     

  • When are the back doors armed?
    ALWAYS

  • What are the most frequent reasons the alarm goes off?
    1.  People “ride” on someone else’s heels, and the time extends beyond 20 seconds.
    2.  Not making sure the door is shut upon entering or leaving during the armed hours.
     

  • What do I do if I set-off the alarm?
    Call Sonitrol Security immediately at 747-0916, and tell them you set off a false alarm.  Police will arrive if you do not call to cancel the dispatch.
     

  • How long will the alarm sound?
    Five very long minutes, and there is nothing you can do about it.
     

  • If I use the conference room after hours or weekends, do I need to use my code and lock and unlock the door to let people in?
    Yes.
     

  • Are false alarm calls tracked and how?
    Yes, by Sonitrol Security System and staff members.  False alarms mean charges for dispatching the police.  A staff member is called at home each time the alarm sounds.
